How to Participate

Everyone probably participates in a different way, but here's a good starting point:

Each sortie is presented as a "rough guideline" of things to read and practical stuff to try on AEM. The intention is not to present a perfect step-by-step tutorial

As a participating soldier you should read the provided material and try to build the things described in the steps.

If you get stuck with stuff, log a defect on GitHub and discuss your issue with fellow-soldiers on either GitHub or Slack.

Once your issue is resolved, remember to close the defect on GitHub with detailed information about how the problem was resolved. This information will be vary valuable to other soldiers coming after you.

At the end of the sortie, the coordinator (probably Greg) will collect all the important notes and issues from the various discussions and add them to the blog post page.

Some principles to live by:
  • Be courteous, we're all here to learn
  • Be specific, don't expect your helpers to guess what's going wrong on your machine.
